Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced federal grand jury indictments of 12 Russian intelligence officers for conspiring to interfere in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. The indictments were presented by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office and included charges of computer hacking, identity theft and cryptocurrency money laundering. He cautioned against speculating about the investigation and said he had briefed President Trump on the allegations earlier in the week.
