Wild animal sounds were heard recently in the halls of the U.S. Capitol. But these were not the calls of escaped animals. They were the sounds of endangered animals serving as the animal world's ambassadors to commemorate "Endangered Species Day." Their presence in the Capitol was intended to encourage legislators to support efforts to protect endangered and rare animals.
