Who is to Blame for Members of Congress Going on Vacation At This Moment in History?
U.S. Rep. Bob Good (R-VA-05) tells War Room co-host Natalie Winters that August is when members typically take a District Work Period to visit with constituents. "The Speaker promised back early in the year that if we didn't complete our 12 required spending bills that he would cancel the August recess as an incentive to motivate members of Congress to do our jobs, to pass our 12 spending bills that reflect Republican policy priorities and cut our spending and send those over to the Senate," Good said.
