Weaponry Sales Thrive in Yemen’s Al-Shinayni Market

The third city of Taez, whose country, Yemen, is currently ridden with war, contains the Al-Shinayni market, which now overflows with weaponry traders and abandoned shops ever since the Huthi rebels invaded the country’s capital in 2014.

The old market traditionally contained blacksmiths and potters that sold mainly handicrafts to their customers. Now, to make a living during a time of conflict, the vendors primarily sell items like Kalashnikovs and bullets. (AFP)
