Twins Conjoined at the Head Undergo Successful Surgery in Britain
Safa and Marwa, 2-year-old conjoined twins, were fused at the head. A team of skilled pediatric neurosurgeons and doctors at a children’s hospital in London spent months preparing for a series of operations over a nine-month period. On Tuesday, July 16, a photo was released of the twins leaving the hospital earlier this month after the last successful surgery in separate strollers, smiling. (REUTERS)
