Trump Administration Gives Korean Leader Benefit of Doubt
In the wake of Kim Jong Un’s announcement of an upcoming new strategic weapon, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo expressed hope that the North Korean leader would take a different course. Echoing President Donald Trump, Pompeo said talks with North Korea had eased long-standing tensions between the two countries. But as VOA’s Zlatica Hoke reports, Kim is signaling that he is not happy with the status quo.
