Pakistan Hosts “World’s Toughest Cycle Race”

Tour de Impossible? Pakistan hosts the ‘world’s toughest cycle race,’ — the Tour de Khunjerab. The bike race features Pakistani and international cyclists competing against one another in the 3-day long concourse, which starts from the city of Gilgit in northern Pakistan and ends in Khunjerab, China.

The winding bike route is hundreds of kilometers long lined with blackened glaciers and snow-capped peaks: a new Pakistani race presents a world-class challenge for cyclists — climbing towards the “Roof of the World.” (AFP)
