Lebanese Municipality Disinfects a Refugee Camp

Workers sprayed disinfectant outside and inside the tents at the Marj el-Khoukh refugee camp, Lebanon, Wednesday, March 25.

The camp has some 200 tents and is home to hundreds of Syrians who fled the war in their country seeking safety in neighboring Lebanon.

The head of the Hasbaya Municipal Union, Sami Al-Safadi, described the situation in the camp as a ticking bomb.

Lebanon has so far reported 256 cases of coronavirus and four deaths. Globally, the coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 341,700 people and killed more than 14,700. (AP)
