Joe Biden and the Irony of Ironies
Paul Manafort says that when Viktor Yanukovych won the Ukrainian presidency in 2010 he had the former prime minister arrested for corruption. The next day Yanukovych got a phone call from then Vice President Joe Biden. Biden urged Yanukovych to take back the arrest and indictment of that prime minister...on the grounds that the United States does not support governments that go after their political opponents.
