Japan Princess Mako meets Peru’s President
Japan’s Princess Mako met Peru’s President Martín Vizcarra in Lima, Thursday, July 11, as part of her visit to celebrate 120 years since the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants to Peru.
The princess was welcomed to Peru’s presidential palace by Foreign Minister Nestor Popolizio. She later met with Vizcarra.
Peru is home to the second-largest Japanese community outside Japan, after Brazil. (AP)
