Hong Kong Police Charge Against Protesters, Detain One
Hong Kong police charged toward protesters who had surrounded a police station in the city’s Sham Shui Po district, Tuesday, August 6.
Protesters demanded the release of a university student arrested for apparently buying laser pointers.
Officers justified the arrest by saying lasers can be used as a weapon. Earlier Tuesday, police used tear gas at one point to try to clear out the protesters in the blue-collar Sham Shui Po neighborhood. (AP)
