Given a Bad Hand
U.S. Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) says House Republicans will pass a short-term continuing resolution by the end of the week, despite House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) vowing last year to not support any more CRs. Rep. Burlison says he’s most concerned with the topline budget agreement Speaker Johnson reached with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). “No where did the rest of Congress agree to these topline numbers,” says Rep. Burlison.
