Funeral of Palestinian Killed by Israeli Troops at Gaza Border Protest
Thousands of people marched through the streets east of Khan Younis in Gaza, Saturday, July 27, for the funeral of Ahmed al-Qarra, a Palestinian killed by Israeli fire during a border protest on Friday.
Officials said al-Qarra, 23, was hit by a bullet in his stomach and died at the hospital.
It was the first fatality since June related to weekly protests along the perimeter fence separating Gaza from Israel. (AP)
