Fans Recreate ‘Abbey Road’ Cover Shot on 50th Anniversary

Hundreds of Beatles fans gathered in London, Thursday, August 8, to recreate the iconic “Abbey Road” album cover 50 years after the original photograph was snapped. The pedestrian crossing in London’s St. John’s Wood neighborhood was mobbed with fans of the band. Among the crowd were Beatles lookalikes and cover bands, who crossed the road like the Beatles did. The original image was taken by Iain MacMillan on August 8, 1969 and has since become one of the most famous images in music history.
