Canada, US Agree Border Closure Extension
CORONAVIRUS:
The United States and Canada have agreed to keep the border closed to nonessential travel for another 30 days, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau said, Saturday, April 18.
He said the extension of the closure would keep people on both sides of the border safe amid the coronavirus pandemic.
U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday the U.S.-Canada border would be among the first borders to open.
It was closed on 18 March.
