Ben Carson: Buckle Up, Patriots, It’s Time to Die for America

The State News reported that in his own calm and collected style, when Carson was asked if he thought people, like the ones in the Revolutionary War, would have to give up their lives to defeat the people currently in power, he told a packed room of conservatives, “we may have to.”

Now, if you’ve ever wondered what it would take for a soft-spoken doctor to suggest you should pack your bags and march to battle, Carson laid it out pretty clearly: standing up for what’s right, even if it’s a fight to the finish. Apparently, any inconvenience you suffer here is just a “drop in the bucket against the backdrop of eternity.”

The crowd seemed to be on board with what Carson said and gave him what the State News called “thunderous applause.”

Judeo-Christian values: a non-negotiable.

For Carson, the decline of America can be traced back to one major fault – our collective drift away from Judeo-Christian values. Forget economic policy or foreign affairs; what’s really bothering him is America’s fall from grace when it comes to morality. According to Carson, abortion, “sexual perversion,” and the breakdown of the traditional family are all symptoms of a nation that’s losing its way.

In a nod to a bygone era, Carson painted a picture of small-town America where neighbors helped each other out of the goodness of their hearts and the common good reigned supreme. These days, Carson said that thanks to abortion, we are a country that’s lost its respect for life – and for each other. Add in the political divide including the insane Trump hatred and things have become even worse.

The real enemy: communism, obviously.
