Bad Provisions of the NDAA that Should Have Been Negotiated Out
U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC-05) says he was disappointed 147 Republicans sided with House Democrats to pass the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act on Thursday. Rep. Norman says the bill failed to eliminate DEI programs in the military, reauthorized FISA Section 702, and only offered a 5.2% raise for the troops. “We’ve seen this playbook before. They wait before Christmas, then the Senate uses whatever means they have to exercise control over the House,” says Rep. Norman.
