A Directed Verdict is Warranted

President Trump attorney Will Scharf, referring to Trump's ongoing trial in New York, says the prosecution is burdened with proving the charges beyond a reasonable doubt. "If at the close of the prosecution's case they have not proven beyond a reasonable doubt every element of the crimes alleged then the judge should enter a directed verdict," Scharf said. "He should essentially dismiss this entire case before it even moves to the defense's case or to the jury.
