63 Car Pileup in Virginia Leaves 35 Injured

A 63-vehicle, chain-reaction pileup on an icy stretch of a Virginia highway left 35 people injured, Sunday, December 22, state police said.

All westbound lanes of Interstate 64 in York County, Virginia, remained closed all afternoon as authorities sorted through the wreck.

At the time of the crash there was fog and icy conditions.

The injuries ranged from minor to life-threatening. (REUTERS)
